PARTICIPANTS AND ADVANTAGES

The Veredictas International Foundation announces the VEREDICTAS CUM LAUDE Honor to recognize and promote the excellence of the best design students and the leading design schools.

Excellence in a student's work is a shared success with their school or university, and the VEREDICTAS CUM LAUDE Honor acknowledges this.

THE FIRST TWO WORKS SUBMITTED BY EACH STUDENT ARE FREE OF CHARGE.

Neither the student nor the school or university is required to pay any entry fees.

The VEREDICTAS CUM LAUDE Honor does not imply any subsequent payments to receive the awards, nor any additional costs.

Works eligible for the VEREDICTAS CUM LAUDE HONOR 2026 must have been created during 2025 and 2026 by design students.

Works designed by alumni are also eligible, provided they were created during their studies within the 2025–2026 period.

VEREDICTAS CUM LAUDE HONOR

  • Inclusion in the commemorative VEREDICTAS CUM LAUDE Yearbook of the edition, citing the honored student and their school or university.
  • Digital version of the VEREDICTAS CUM LAUDE Yearbook.
  • Official VEREDICTAS CUM LAUDE Diploma, certified by the Veredictas International Foundation.
  • Right to obtain original duplicate certified Diplomas for collaborators, professors, or the school.
  • Exclusive eligibility for the “ANGEL DE ORO” distinction, awarded to the Best Design Student of the Year. This is a unique, gold-plated, numbered piece reproducing the original sculpture representing the VEREDICTAS CUM LAUDE Honor.
  • Publication of the awarded work with the VEREDICTAS CUM LAUDE distinction in the Veredictas International gallery, including a link to the student's gallery.
  • Publication of the awarded work on Veredictas International social media, including links to the student and their school or university.
  • Distribution of an exclusive press release about the student's achievement to the media, individuals, schools, or companies indicated in the student's application.
  • Inclusion of the awarded work in the organization's official press release.
  • Granting of the right to use the VEREDICTAS CUM LAUDE mark, indicating the year and recognition obtained.
  • Opportunity to participate free of charge in other awards certified by the Veredictas Foundation. (Occasionally, Veredictas invites works to participate in awards that are in a consolidation phase. Only works previously submitted to a Veredictas-certified award are invited.)

MISCENALLY SECTION

41. VEREDICTAS CUM LAUDE HONOR  in the Miscellany category. All works that the student considers may not be included in the other categories.

 

SUBMISSION OF ENTRY MATERIAL

  1. Entries must be submitted from the student's Veredictas user profile. Submissions from a school or university profile will not be accepted.
  2. The student must upload a passport-style photograph to their user profile. This photograph will appear in the VEREDICTAS CUM LAUDE Yearbook if the student is awarded.
  3. In the “client” section of the project details, the name and location of the school where the work was designed must be indicated.
  4. To submit your works, access your user profile. If you are not yet a Veredictas user, click the orange SUBMIT WORKS button and follow the steps.
  5. If the work you wish to submit is already in your Veredictas profile gallery, you may enter it without re-uploading it.
  6. Each entry may include up to 5 images (1 main image + 4 additional), in color, 1024x768 pixels, 72 dpi, horizontal format, JPG file, RGB color space.
  7. If at the time of registration you do not have the images of your work, the PDF, or other materials available, you may complete your registration and add or modify any information before the call for entries closes.
  8. To facilitate proper evaluation, it is recommended to attach a description of up to 800 characters explaining relevant aspects of the project.
  9. A PDF with additional information, images, or details may also be attached to support evaluation.
  10. The organization reserves the right to use and reproduce submitted images on social media, in catalogs, or in any media deemed appropriate for the promotion of the authors or the awards.
  11. Participation in the VEREDICTAS CUM LAUDE HONOR does not imply the transfer of any copyright to the organization.
  12. The student declares to be the legitimate author or to have express authorization to submit the work and releases the organization from any copyright claims.
  13. The organization declines all responsibility regarding the authenticity of the data provided in entry forms.
  14. To preserve neutrality, logos, names, or identifying marks of the author or school may not appear in the submitted images, except in self-promotional projects. Failure to comply may result in disqualification at the organization's discretion.
  15. The organization reserves the right to exclude works that are offensive, illegal, or contrary to social ethics.

ENTRY FEES

  1. THE FIRST TWO WORKS ARE FREE OF CHARGE.
  2. Participants may submit as many works as they deem appropriate..
  3. The same work may be entered in more than one category.
  4. The official call for the VEREDICTAS CUM LAUDE HONOR 2026 runs from March 2 to Tuesday, June 30, 2026.
  5. ENTRY FEES FROM THE 3RD WORK ONWARD ARE:
  • 25 € per work with a 50% early-bird opening discount until March 26, 2026.
  • 50 € per work during the regular phase until June 15, 2026.
  • 75 € per work during the EXTRA DEADLINE until the closing date on Tuesday, June 30, 2026.

THE JURY

The Jury of the VEREDICTAS CUM LAUDE HONOR 2026 is composed of members of the Board of Trustees of the Veredictas International Foundation.

Jury members may not be linked to the author or the school or university of any submitted work.

The Jury will evaluate design quality, creativity, coherence between function and message, innovation, interdisciplinary integration, and any other aspects deemed relevant.

The Jury will select up to 10 works per category as VEREDICTAS CUM LAUDE SELECTION.

Among the 10 selected works in each category, the Jury will designate one single work to receive the VEREDICTAS CUM LAUDE HONOR of that category.

Among all works honored with the VEREDICTAS CUM LAUDE HONOR, the President of the Jury will designate the Best Design Student of the Year, recipient of the “ANGEL DE ORO.” This is a unique, gold-plated, numbered piece reproducing the original 1989 sculpture representing the VEREDICTAS CUM LAUDE HONOR.

The Jury's decision is final and not subject to interference or appeal.

Voting will take place during July and August, and the verdict will be made public in September 2026. All authors of submitted works will be informed of the decision.

  • Mr. Ignasi Vich (Jury President), Industrial Designer and Marketing Manager.
  • Mr. Toni Cobertera, Director of Básico Estudio.
  • Mr. Vasily Kassab, Vice President PepsiCo Design & Innovation Center Latam.

Ms. Tatiana Pámanes, Jury Auditor and Award Manager of the VEREDICTAS CUM LAUDE Honor (without voice or vote).

THE VEREDICTAS CUM LAUDE HONOR

  1. One VEREDICTAS CUM LAUDE HONOR and up to 10 VEREDICTAS CUM LAUDE SELECTIONS will be granted per category.
  2. Students awarded the VEREDICTAS CUM LAUDE HONOR will receive the commemorative digital Yearbook by email.
  3. Students awarded either a VEREDICTAS CUM LAUDE SELECTION or the VEREDICTAS CUM LAUDE HONOR must collect their certified diploma at their school or university.
  4. The organization will issue original duplicate diplomas upon request (additional awards or diplomas may be requested).
  5. Any doubts or misunderstandings will be resolved at the organization's discretion.

The VEREDICTAS CUM LAUDE Honor is a standard of excellence certified by the Veredictas International Foundation.
