From Packaging to Sculpture

by Leon K. Studio CROATIA
for s778 Heritage in Brač Island, Croatia - 05/06/2026
Designed for a premium gin bottle, this sculptural secondary packaging reimagines a disposable object as a permanent, multifunctional system. Closed, it forms a monolithic object; opened, the upper component becomes a presentation stand, transforming serving gin into a deliberate ritual.

Operating across four configurations — protective packaging, presentation stand, singular sculpture, and dual-object installation — the design extends the object’s lifecycle beyond its original purpose.

Inspired by Brač stone, the packaging is realized in a custom-developed polymer composite that preserves the visual and tactile presence of stone while reducing weight for usability. Each piece is hand-finished, introducing controlled uniqueness within a repeatable manufacturing system.
