This mono-material packaging solution offers excellent recyclability and delivers a CO₂ emissions reduction of more than 20% compared to conventional PET/ALU/PP laminates. The structure is pasteurization-resistant and suitable for acidic food products, ensuring product safety, freshness, and shelf life. By eliminating aluminum, the pouch is also microwave-safe, providing convenience for consumers.Developed by Wipf AG in close collaboration with Hengstenberg GmbH & Co. KG, the laminate combines specialized raw materials and adhesives to create a high-performance mono-material structure. The pouch weight was reduced by 10% versus a standard PET/ALU/PP pouch, further improving its environmental footprint. This innovative packaging solution received the WorldStar Packaging Award 2026.
